Below are some common questions about what you can use our scheme to buy and how the process works. Q. Who are Recital?

The people behind Recital have over 20 years’ experience in the classical music industry. Recital was founded to help musicians fund musical instruments.

Q. How much can I borrow?

Recital can help you borrow anything from £500 to £25,000 with repayment terms from between one and eight years. Loans over £25,000 are possible by special arrangement.

Q. How much deposit do I need?

The minimum deposit is 10% of the value of the loan.

Q. Do I have to pay any fees to Recital for helping me get a musical instrument loan?

No, we do not charge any fees to our clients.

Q. Do I own the instrument I buy with the help of Recital?

Yes you own the instrument in full at all times because any loan will be unsecured.

Q. What can I buy with a loan from Recital?

You can buy any musical instrument, bow, case or accessory with a Recital loan. We can help towards the cost of a combination of items if they are part of a single purchase from a shop.

Q. Can Recital help me buy from a private individual instead of a shop?

Recital is only involved with instrument purchases from a professional dealer or shop.

Q. Do you offer a competitive interest rate?

We have developed a successful partnership with an award-winning bank. This relationship means we’ve been able to negotiate very attractive terms for our customers which we are delighted to pass on to you. The typical APR is just 9.9%.

Q. How long will it take to see if I will be accepted to get a loan through Recital?

Once we have all the information we need you will usually get an answer the same day.

Q. How long will it take to complete the application process once I have found the instrument I want?

The application usually completed in just a few days.

Q. Can I buy an instrument from any music shop using Recital?

Recital can work with any reputable music shop who has agreed our terms and conditions. When you make your application, we contact the shop to arrange everything we can on your behalf.

Q. What are the requirements to get a loan from Recital?

You need to be a UK resident with at least 3 years address history and be in employment working for at least 16 hours per week.

Q. Can I settle my loan early?

You have the right to repay all or part of the outstanding balance at any time subject to the lenders’ terms and conditions.

Q. How do I make my monthly repayment?

Your monthly repayments are made by Direct Debit from a nominated bank account.
